Niagara in Winter

Ice and cold didn't keep tourists away from Niagara Falls

The sun was beautiful on a cold day

We have decided to stay in Ontario for the rest of the winter, until we head out on our next cruise at the end of March.  So, making the best of it by having a "romantic" escape to Niagara from last Sunday to Tuesday makes the winter more tolerable.  It was truly a "winter wonderland" on a beautiful day when we arrived at Niagara Falls. We were able to get some great shots following the snow storm.  By the time we left, most of it had already melted.

At the Horseshoe Falls there were rainbows as the sun glinted on the mist

Icicles all along the gorge
Nobody was using the park benches!
Amazing rainbows in the mist

Of course, there is wine tasting in the area too!

We look forward to returning to Niagara Falls in the summer time, though we really enjoyed the unique beauty of this famous landmark in winter.
