It is just like all the pictures you see of Tuscany! There was no sleeping on the bus today, as every twist and turn revealed another spectacular vista while rolling through the countryside of Tuscany to San Gimignano. This beautiful Medieval town, perched up on a hilltop, is one of the most enchanting places we have ever been. If you would like to see more information on this fascinating place:

Wild boar is a popular local dish, so of course, John and I had to try that, along with the very reasonable house wine - yummy! Heather enjoyed a special crepe. As you can tell from the photos below, we really like the Tuscan countryside. It was difficult to choose the shots to include today.

After a fabulous day, it was good to relax back at the apartment and get caught up on emails. We love to hear from friends and family back home, and we are glad that you are following this wonderful journey.

ReplyDeleteQue vos photos sont belles!! Nous sommes jaloux mais également heureux que vous vous trouviez dans de si beaux endroits outre-mer.
San Gimignano est tellemt beau at nous est cher - ses ruelles en pente (toujours un défi!), l'architecture, les pâtisseries et les restos. De plus le paysage est époustoufflant.
John - il faut maintenant manger plusieurs repas de sanglier, mon vieux!
Un voyage de retour est de rigueur et croyez-nous vous y reviendrez un jour!
Demain Sienne vous attend à bras ouverts - une fort jolie ville et vous y verrez sans doute pas mal de choses.
A propos en tant que professeur de français je vous donne dix sur dix pur votre français au sujet du séjour à Nice! Chapeau!!
En espérant que le vin italien vous accompagne partout. Ne nous oubliez pas en levant les verres lors d'une collation à trois!
Les feuilles ratatinées icitte témoignent de l'arrivée inéluctable de l'hiver. L'été nous manque.
